What is a crawl credit?
1 credit = 1 page fetched and audited in a hosted crawl. Your plan includes a monthly allowance shared across all projects in a workspace, resetting on the 1st of each month (UTC). Every product — Reports, Monitor, Rules and Search — runs off the same crawl, so one unit covers all four. The free desktop app and CLI crawl locally and never touch your credits.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Top up any time, on any plan: $0.40 / £0.40 / €0.40 per 1,000 credits, sold in 50,000-credit blocks. Top-ups bank on your workspace and are only drawn down after your monthly allowance is spent — there is no automatic overage and no surprise bill. On Hobby you can also just wait for the monthly reset.
Do top-up credits expire?
No. Monthly plan credits reset each month, but purchased top-up credits stay on your workspace until you use them.
What's in the Custom plan?
Everything in Scale, sized to you: custom crawl-credit volume and page caps, volume top-up pricing, invoice billing, and priority onboarding with dedicated support. If you crawl more than a couple of million pages a month — platforms, marketplaces, agencies with big rosters — email hello@spronta.com and we will put a number on it.
Are projects and seats really unlimited?
On every paid plan, yes — add every client site and your whole team without counting licences. Pricing scales with one thing only: how much we crawl for you.
How is Search priced?
Free while in beta, on every plan. At GA, every plan includes a search allowance that mirrors its credits — 10,000 queries on Hobby up to 1,000,000 on Scale — and extra searches cost $0.04 per 1,000 — versus roughly $0.50 per 1,000 on Algolia Grow, and there are no per-record or indexing fees at any volume because the index is built from crawls you already pay for.
What currencies can I pay in?
Prices are shown in USD, GBP and EUR — the page picks your local currency automatically and you can switch any time. Billing runs through Stripe; Custom plans can also pay by invoice.
Is the desktop app really free?
Yes. Crawlie is open source (MIT) — the desktop app, CLI and MCP server are free forever with no URL caps. Crawlie Cloud is the hosted service on top: crawls that run without your laptop, scheduled monitoring, alerts, history, and team workspaces.
How is this cheaper than Sitebulb Cloud?
Sitebulb Cloud starts at £95/month for 50,000 URLs a month with 2 seats — and its entry plan doesn't include the desktop app. Crawlie Pro covers the same 50,000 pages for £15/month ($19) with unlimited seats, scheduling and regression alerts included — and our desktop app is free and unlimited for everyone.
How does annual billing work?
